The old Bullring of Puerto Banus in Nueva Andalucia will reopen as Marbella Arena.
The old Puerto Banus Bullring that closed its doors back in 2010 has been taken over by the Grupo TeatroGoya, who will invest a whopping 30 million into the project to make Marbella Arena above all a cultural auditorium.
The new Marbella Arena will open in May 2019 and it will feature an auditorium for concerts and sporting events, as well as an outdoor area for terraces and various restaurants. The venue will have a capacity of 5,000 people, 1,000 of which can be seated around the arena. There will also be 60 gallery seats in three tiers and one of the plans is to cover the arena over the winter. The outdoor area will have numerous terraces, restaurants and shows and it will be divided between the 1,024 square meters of leisure area, 457 square meters of shopping area and 1,047 meters of covered square also used for leisure. In total 25 commercial premises have been planned for the Marbella Arena.
According to the promoters, the construction of this huge project in Nueva Andalucia will generate 300 direct jobs and once it’s open, a total of 675 direct and indirect jobs.
